Mission Statement
Chamber Music | OC is dedicated to advancing the art of chamber music through performance, education, and community engagement.
Background Statement
Chamber Music | OC's operations take place in three separate areas of focus: performance, education, and community engagement.
The Performance Division provides residents of the greater Orange County area with world-class chamber music performances presented by rising stars and established veterans in the classical music world. In 2017, Chamber Music | OC presented a sold-out Carnegie Hall Debut that was lauded as "one of the best performances this listener has heard" by New York Classical Review.
The Education Division is anchored by the Pre-College Program, a unique and comprehensive music curriculum formerly in residence at Chapman University. Since its inception in 2019, 100% of the program's participants have gone on to attend college at institutions including the Eastman School of Music, The Juilliard School, Northwestern University, the Peabody Institute of Music, Princeton University, Rice University, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and Stanford University, among others.
The Community Outreach Division aspires to make the benefits of music widely accessible through collaborations with local schools and community organizations including the Irvine Adult Day Health Services, Human Options, Orange County Academy of Sciences and Arts, Orange County Children’s Therapeutic Art Center, Rejoice Center, Santa Ana High School, and University Synagogue in Irvine.
Impact Statement
Chamber Music | OC brings world-class chamber music to Orange County through performances, education, and community programs. Based in Lake Forest, CMOC has become a home for musicians of all ages, from young students to adult enthusiasts.
The Pre-College Program serves nearly 40 students, offering mentorship, chamber music coaching, and performance opportunities that prepare them for top conservatories and universities.
The Adult Chamber Music Program (ACMP) engages dozens of adult musicians each season with mentorship, master classes, performance opportunities, and chamber music reading sessions—helping adult musicians stay connected and grow in a supportive community.
CMOC has also worked with internationally recognized artists, including Paul Katz, founder of CelloBello, and will soon welcome acclaimed tenor Duke Kim. These residencies bring inspiration and expertise to students, adult participants, and audiences alike.
Through these programs, partnerships, and performances, CMOC strengthens the cultural life of the region, creating opportunities for musicians and audiences to experience the power of chamber music.

Chamber Music | OC is approaching its 15th season of bringing world-class chamber music, education, and community programs to Orange County. With the support of our audiences, families, and community partners, CMOC has grown into a vibrant arts organization that touches thousands of lives each year.
Our Pre-College Program now serves nearly 40 young musicians, offering mentorship, chamber music coaching, and performance opportunities. Many of these students come from families who wouldn’t otherwise have access to this level of musical training, making this program a central part of CMOC’s mission.
Our Lake Forest headquarters has become a hub for learning, rehearsing, and performing, giving students and guest artists alike a place to connect, collaborate, and grow. Over the years, we’ve welcomed internationally recognized artists such as Paul Katz, founder of CelloBello, and we’re excited to host tenor Duke Kim in an upcoming residency and performance. These experiences inspire our students and bring extraordinary music to our community.
As we near this 15-year milestone, CMOC continues to invest in its programs, partnerships, and performances, ensuring that classical music remains vibrant, accessible, and inspiring for generations to come.
