PROGRAMS

Mental Health Therapy

Robyne's Nest provides mental health therapy for all students in our program either with our internal psychologist or will pay for a student to attend one they have an existing relationship with. Mental health is a key component to helping our students lead a productive, self-sufficient life that they can choose. Robyne's Nest also provides mental health and wellness classes on-site at local middle schools and high schools offering social skills, coping skills for stress, healthy relationships and more to help students acquire these essential skills for a healthier, more productive life.

Budget
$50,500
Outcomes

Long term success is defined as Robyne's Nest having sufficient funds to assist all at-risk students with the mental health resources required to be successful in high school, graduate, and pursue a successful life beyond.

Housing

The Robyne’s Nest Housing Program provides transitional housing and housing assistance for at-risk youth to enable them to complete their education through a high-school diploma and move beyond toward a college, trade-school, or military program. We provide housing in the form of rented houses and apartments for which we hold the lease. We also provide housing assistance for students who need help paying their current living expenses, thus enabling the student to work fewer hours and focus more time on school-work. Safe housing for homeless and at-risk youth focuses our community resources on the front-end of the homeless crisis, thus helping to stem the continuum of despair in the formative years of our students’ lives. Affordable housing is a continuing crisis in California. Our students, through no fault of their own, are unable to afford or maintain safe housing without the help of organizations like Robyne’s Nest.

Budget
$275,500
Outcomes

Success will be accomplished when all high school students are found to have a safe and positive home environment to finish high school and pursue education and employment beyond. We have housed 46 students with 95% remaining stably housed and employed and/or attending school.

Living Stipend

Robyne's Nest created a living stipend program where eligible students are given a pre-set amount of grocery/gas gift cards and/or bus passes in exchange for maintaining or improving their grades and attendance. Stipends are given out monthly. Tracking ensures students are on target and enables a timely resolution of issues. The intent of this program is to enable the student to focus on classwork and finishing his/her diploma without needing to work on a full-time basis. This stipend helps provide for living expenses.
