Therefore, the Foundation's mission is to maintain, expand and enhance the educational opportunities of Santa Ana College by linking community organizations, businesses, funding sources, alumni and staff, thus preserving our near century of ''A History of Success, A Future of Promise.''

Background Statement
The Santa Ana College Foundation was established in 1968 to support the needs of Santa Ana College students through resource development and community partnership. The Santa Ana College Foundation and Office of College Advancement engages, solicits, and leverages public-private partnerships in order to ensure that students' educational dreams can become a reality. Over the last 10 years, the Foundation has seen a tremendous growth in scholarship and program support.
Impact Statement
Santa Ana College is the second largest community college in the state and second oldest in Orange County. As a whole, Santa Ana College students are some of the most dedicated, hard-working students in our community. We serve a highly diverse population of students that includes 48% Hispanic/Latino students, 80% minority students, 986 students with disabilities, 334 veterans, 19,579 Police & Fire Academy students, and 1,976 students who are simultaneously enrolled in K-12 and Santa Ana College.
Needs Statement
Over 35% of our students are balancing part-time work and their schooling, and 26% work full-time while enrolled. Less than half of all of our students have reported that they can rely on their family for financial support while 25% are parents and 12% are single parents. Of our entire student body, 76% of our students report a household income of $40,000 or less.
