Through our comprehensive online database, you can easily research organizations using a simple name or keyword search. The detailed profiles of nonprofit organizations provide insights into their mission, history, impact, programs, business practices, financial statements, and much more. Please note, OC Nonprofit Central does not rate or grade nonprofits. Our primary goal is to promote organizational transparency, empowering you to make strategic and informed giving decisions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can donate, and how?

Anyone can donate! Contributions made through the OC Nonprofit Central online portal to charitable nonprofit organizations are tax-deductible and non-refundable. You can donate via credit or debit card. For gifts over $100, there’s an option to donate from your online bank account via an ACH transfer. Donations are received and processed by Givsum.

Please note that no goods or services will be provided in exchange for donations made through the OC Nonprofit Central site.

How will donations be distributed?

Donations made to a participating nonprofit will be directly disbursed by Givsum via direct deposit within 5 business days.

How much of my donation goes to the nonprofit?

A 5% + $0.30 credit card processing fee applies to each donation. Donors have the option to cover these fees.

Will I receive a receipt?

Absolutely! You’ll receive an instant receipt via email from the nonprofit receiving your donation. It will include a thank you message and a receipt for your tax-deductible donation. The transaction will appear on your credit card statement as the name of the organization you supported.

Who will receive my contact information?

The organization(s) you choose to support, along with OCCF, the host of OC Nonprofit Central, will have access to your name and email address. This information is used solely to send thank you messages, offer future notifications, and inform you of upcoming activities.

Can I make a recurring donation?

Yes, you can! Simply select "Make this a recurring gift" during checkout. You’ll have options to make your donation "Monthly" or "Quarterly", and to continue "Until I Cancel It", "Up to a Certain Date", or "Up to a Set Balance".

How can I learn more about an organization that interests me?

To gain more insights into a specific participating organization, we encourage you to contact the nonprofit directly using the contact information available in their profile.

What if my preferred organization is not listed?

If your preferred organization is not listed, please send an email to ocnonprofitcentral@oc-cf.org to request that we reach out to your organization of choice.
