Middle School Track Meet
Middle School Track Meet: A Decade of Athletic Excellence For 10 years, our Middle School Track Meet has been a cornerstone event, bringing together over 700 student athletes to compete in various track and field events. This program not only promotes physical fitness but also teaches students the values of teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship. Many of our participants go on to join high school teams, carrying with them the confidence and skills gained from this foundational experience.
In 2025 our goal is to engage over 700 middle school students to participate in the track meet.
Experience Your Environment
Experience Your Environment: Cultivating Environmental Stewards Our environmental literacy program empowers students and their families to explore and act on environmental issues. Through activities like guided nature hikes led by Inside the Outdoors in Carbon Canyon Regional Park, students and their families learn about local ecosystems and environmental conservation. This hands-on approach fosters a lifelong appreciation for nature and encourages community involvement in environmental stewardship.
Experience Your Environment's goal is to provide content that is locally based, culturally relevant, and culminates in an academic competition. Most importantly, we see this program as an opportunity to create meaningful involvement with families, community partners, and motivate students to experience and appreciate the outdoors while having fun in the process.
First Lego League Robotics
Robotics Program FIRST LEGO League: Igniting STEM Passion Our robotics program introduces students to the exciting world of STEM through the First LEGO League. Each season, students tackle a new theme based on current global issues, culminating in a competition that challenges their problem-solving, engineering, and teamwork skills. Pre-season workshops prepare 4th to 6th graders for the competitive season, with high school students leading the charge as mentors. This program not only builds technical skills but also fosters leadership and collaboration.
Introducing coding to 4th - 6th grade students will enable more boys and girls to prepare and enroll in high school STEAM courses.
Vintage Prom Wear
Vintage Prom Wear: Making Dreams Accessible To ensure all students can enjoy the magic of prom, we collect gently used prom attire from the community and host Prom Wear Fairs at each of the district's five high schools. Additionally, we provide scholarships for prom tickets, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder any student from experiencing this memorable event.
We are looking to bring in students, who may not usually participate, into this fun and social senior year tradition. In 2025 we are looking to provide formal wear for 90--120 students
