Step Forward Academy Mentorship Program

Most programs focus on helping non-workers get jobs, rather than offering assistance to help low-income workers remain employed and advance income and career. Our model is unique because we pair low-income, underemployed and/or unemployed individuals (mentees) with successful professionals who act as mentors and career coaches. Through our 8-step mentorship program, mentees learn the skills they need to maintain a career and family budget. This program ensures that there is a strong pipeline that matches the needs of employers with qualified candidates. Our core program helps map career interests, goals and pathways through the following services: Mentorship: Mentors and mentees will walk through a 8-step program that encompasses time management skills, budgeting, career identification, resume building and mock interviews. Coaching: Coaches provide 1:1 or group coaching regarding a certain industry or help prepare s specific resume or skill development.
