SFA was founded on the idea that in order to make a living wage you must cultivate the skills to maintain a long-term career. SFA’s goal is to bridge the gap between low-income individuals seeking employment and the business community seeking capable and enthusiastic employees.

-20-30% Income Growth: Clients who stay connected with us for 12 to 18 months experience significant increases in income, unlocking greater financial independence.
-Homeownership Achieved: Two of our clients have achieved the dream of purchasing their own homes, a testament to the life-changing opportunities our programs help create.
-Career Clarity Unlocked: Over 250 Career and DISC assessments have been conducted, equipping individuals with the tools and insights to pursue fulfilling career paths.

With unemployment and underemployment being at an all-time high and critical concern in our community. California faces significant economic challenges, with approximately 13.2% of its residents living below the poverty line.

This translates to about 5 million Californians struggling to meet basic needs.

These statistics underscore the critical need for comprehensive support systems that empower individuals to achieve financial stability. Step Forward Academy is dedicated to addressing this need by providing targeted career development programs, coaching, and resources to help individuals and families overcome economic challenges.

Serving at risk youth for over a decade. I saw the challenges many parents had in making a living wage. Therefore, if we focus on supporting community members a pathway to making a living wage. We can start transforming communities through partnership, connection, and service for future generations to make a living wage and beyond!

I was honored to partner with Step Forward Academy (SFA) as the Chairman of the Board because I know it is not just about getting a job. I deeply believe that everyone deserves respect and dignity. Everyone has the potential to succeed, but often they need a loving, guiding hand. The vision of SFA of Career Development through Mentorship and Coaching is powerful, and l and I truly believe that it can be a pathway out of poverty for many.
