VetNet-A Safety Net for Veterans

Working Wardrobes has been serving veterans for many years. In 2012, we expanded our scope of services for veterans by creating VetNet, A Safety Net for Veterans. From outreach to enrollment and through job training, placement and follow-up, our program uses an integrated case management approach to directly link clients to supportive services available through partnerships.

Rebuilding Careers Program

Our Career Success Institute is staffed by professional training and human resource volunteers. The workshops focus on increasing participants' self-confidence, teaches decision-making skills, teaches resume and interview skills, presentation skills, and tips on how to be a successful employee. All workshops are held on site. Women's and Men's Career Success Graduation events are our signature events. The Career Success Graduation follows the workshop series. Our graduates attend a motivational seminar and a presentation skills workshop before being assigned a "Personal Shopper" team to select 2 quality outfits fit for their career goals. Along with the clothing, our clients receive personal grooming services including haircuts, nail care and accessories. A Career Fair where the clients, looking their best and feeling great, can interact with prospective local employers often ready to hire on the spot. The day concludes with a finale fashion show. Graduates are selected to model their new looks in front of staff, volunteers and their peers.
