OUR STORY

2e4Me Academy was founded to serve neurodivergent and twice-exceptional students who struggle in traditional classrooms despite their giftedness. Through a strengths-based, relationship-driven approach that integrates academics with social-emotional learning, we create an environment where students feel seen, supported, and capable. Our mission is to help each child build confidence, develop real-world skills, and thrive as their authentic self.

2e4Me Academy was founded in Orange County by Dr. Lamis Jabri—a physician, educator, and parent—who saw firsthand that many bright, capable children were struggling in traditional classrooms - not because of a lack of ability, but because the system was not designed for the way they learn.

Motivated by both professional expertise and lived experience, Dr. Jabri set out to create a different kind of school. One where neurodivergent and twice-exceptional (2e, meaning both gifted and disabled) students are understood and accepted for both their strengths and challenges, with social-emotional growth and academic development nurtured together. Her vision was rooted in a simple but powerful belief: when children feel safe, respected, and truly seen, they are able to build the skills and confidence needed to thrive.

2e4Me’s model integrates individualized academics with social-emotional learning, mentorship, and enrichment into one coordinated, personalized program. We prioritize connection, communication, and self-esteem through meaningful, engaging experiences by transforming education into a supportive and inspiring journey for students who have struggled in traditional settings.

What began as a small, community-driven effort has grown into a vital support system for families across Orange County. Students who once struggled to engage are now building relationships, gaining confidence, and rediscovering a love of learning. Parents often share that their children “finally feel seen,” for the first time.

Today, 2e4Me continues to expand access while working toward a broader vision: reshaping education so that neurodiversity is understood, supported, and fully integrated, ensuring every child has a place where they can belong and thrive.

Mission Statement

2e4Me Academy is a nonprofit educational hub that empowers neurodivergent and twice-exceptional learners through strengths-based, neuro-affirming programming. By integrating academic, social-emotional, and enrichment support, we cultivate joy and self-advocacy in a safe space that prioritizes authentic skill-building over behavioral compliance.

Background Statement

2e4Me Academy was founded in Orange County by a dedicated group of educators and parents of neurodivergent learners who recognized an urgent, unmet need in our community. The organization emerged from the realization that traditional, industrial-era educational models often fail to support children who are "twice-exceptional" (2e), those who possess high academic potential alongside challenges like ADHD, autism, anxiety, or dyslexia.
Our journey began with a mission to move beyond the standard of behavioral compliance and "masking". Instead, we have built a nonprofit educational hub centered on a neuro-affirming, strengths-based approach. By integrating rigorous academics with social-emotional and enrichment programming, we provide a safe, inclusive space where a child's brilliance is celebrated rather than sidelined.
Central to our methodology is the use of Collaborative & Proactive Solutions (CPS), a relationship-based framework that prioritizes emotional regulation and skill-building. Our founding leadership, including Dr. Lamis Jabri, has dedicated years to mastering these practices to ensure they are woven into the very fabric of our school policies and curriculum.

Today, 2e4Me Academy serves as more than just a school; it is a burgeoning sustainable ecosystem for neurodiversity. We are committed to building permanent, internal expertise that empowers our staff, students, and families. By fostering self-advocacy and authentic skill-building, we are helping a generation of neurodivergent youth in Orange County unlock their full potential and find their rightful place in our community.

Impact Statement

Since its inception, 2e4Me Academy has transitioned from a local necessity to a regional leader in neuro-affirming education, serving over 100 neurodivergent children and their families. Our impact is defined by moving beyond the industrial-era model of "behavioral compliance" to foster a sustainable ecosystem where twice-exceptional (2e) learners can finally thrive.
Our Core Impact Areas:
• Student Flourishing: Students consistently report increased self-confidence, improved peer relationships, and successful transitions into academic settings where they previously struggled.
• Family Lifeline: We provide a vital support network for families navigating the complexities of raising gifted and differently-wired children, often hearing that our program is "life-changing" because their children finally feel "seen".
• Systemic Capacity Building: We are building permanent, internal expertise through a "Train the Trainer" infrastructure, certifying staff in evidence-based, trauma-informed frameworks like Collaborative & Proactive Solutions (CPS).
• A Scalable Blueprint: By developing a "Model School" framework—including a custom didactics curriculum and neuro-affirming school policies—we are creating a replicable roadmap for educational facilities across Orange County and beyond.
• Advancing Equity: Through strategic scholarship funding, we ensure that clinical-grade support and specialized 1:1 aide assistance are determined by a child’s neurological needs rather than a family's financial means.
At 2e4Me Academy, our success is measured by the shift from "masking" to "authenticity". We are not just supporting individual students; we are establishing a new gold standard for inclusion that replaces punitive measures with compassionate, skill-based problem-solving.

Needs Statement

Expanding the Ecosystem of Inclusion:
Orange County faces a significant infrastructure deficit for neurodivergent students, with 1 in 63 children diagnosed with autism—a rate that frequently exceeds state and national averages. Despite this, traditional "industrial-era" educational models often rely on compliance-based methods that fail to address the complex profiles of twice-exceptional (2e) learners. 2e4Me Academy is seeking funding to bridge this gap by transforming from a seasonal program into a permanent, year-round regional training hub.

Our primary needs include:
• Institutional Capacity Building: Funding is required to support the intensive "Train the Trainer" model, including salaries for core staff and doctoral interns to undergo advanced certification in neuro-affirming frameworks.
• Infrastructure & Location: We are seeking support to secure a permanent, larger facility that provides a sensory-safe and inclusive environment for year-round learning and after-school support.
• Equitable Access: Funding for scholarships is essential to ensure that 1:1 aide support and specialized programming are accessible to low-income and underserved families, ensuring clinical support is based on need rather than financial means.
• Curriculum & IP Development: Support is needed to finalize and license our custom "Model School" didactics curriculum, school policies, and training materials so they can be transferred to other community partners and school districts.
• Specialized Staffing: To maintain our high standard of expertise, we require funding to hire and retain licensed therapists, educational coaches, and STEAM facilitators specifically trained in trauma-informed care and strength-based instruction.
By addressing these needs, 2e4Me Academy will move beyond temporary intervention to create a scalable, sustainable blueprint for neuro-affirming education that can be replicated across Southern California.

Statement from the CEO/Executive Director

As a psychiatrist, I founded 2e4Me Academy because I deeply believe that no diagnostic measure could possibly encapsulate the richness of a human mind, and no diagnostic term should ever place a cap on a child's potential. My perspective is also shaped as a parent; I have long wished for therapeutic support to be embedded within all educational and recreational activities, such that there is no longer a distinction between “therapy” and “life,” or between “therapist” and “teacher”.
It is often incredibly difficult for twice-exceptional (2e) learners to find a setting where their remarkable talents and significant challenges are simultaneously understood. At 2e4Me, we have created a haven where social-emotional growth, skill-building, and talent development are delivered together in a comprehensive program tailored to each learner’s specific needs. We focus on nurturing mutually respectful relationships, healthy self-esteem, and effective communication through enjoyable, strengths-based activities.
Our vision is to lead a paradigm shift in education and therapeutic disciplines, one where "2e" is widely understood and where education and therapy are no longer separate entities. We envision a world where learning is universally personalized and classrooms serve as innovative think-tanks. By respecting student interests and fostering autonomy, we aim to help our learners embrace their individuality while developing a meaningful sense of service to society.

We have built this organization to be a place where the unique brilliance of neurodivergent and twice-exceptional (2e) learners is the starting point for everything we do.
