CEO/Executive Director Experience
Deborah Wells, AISS’ Executive Director, is responsible for the day-to-day operations and direction of the program, including fund development. Ms. Wells is uniquely qualified for this position, with over 30 years of experience in management with managing, supervising and developing: programs, projects and people. She has over 18 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Recent graduate of Octane's Nonprofit Accelerator Program. Deborah currently serves as a mentor and board member for Career Beginnings Mentoring Program (CBMP), which is one of the programs that collaborates with AISS on planned events. Deborah formerly worked as a program associate for Science@OC and as a program specialist for KidWorks. She was also affiliated with Girls Inc.’s auxiliary group, Women for Girls. Ms. Wells currently serves on the Kiwanis Santa Ana Board and Chairs their Community Service Committee. Ms. Wells holds an MBA and a Masters in Information Technology Management with an extensive management background along with a passion for guiding the educational and personal development of young people.
