Creative Educators Award

This program provides monetary grants for teachers and counselors who desire to enhance their school curriculum. We work with the Irvine Public Schools Foundation and, for school year 2022-2023 awarded Rancho San Joaquin Middle School $10,000.for their instrumental program and creative arts program.

High School Scholarships for Irvine Valley College

This community program provides scholarships for income-qualified High School Seniors within the Irvine Unified School District who will be attending Irvine Valley College in the Fall.

Outcomes

  Based on need, as identified through surveys during our 2014-15, Operation School Bell program we increased the budget by $12,500 at that time. This fiscal year, the total budget for High School seniors and continuing students. was raised to $30,000.

Irvine Valley College Scholarships

Single parents amd returning students in need are selected each year by Assistance League of Irvine members to receive scholarships. Without financial assistance, many of the recipients would not be able to earn their degree, an achievement that will pay lifelong dividends. In 2021, we initiated a certificate scholarship program and have awarded $35,000 to eligible Irvine Valley students.

The IVC Scholarship Program was established in 2007 with a  $10,000  endowment and a strong belief in the benefits of earning a college degree, along with our desire to promote higher education in our community.  This fiscal year, we awarded scholarships to single parents and returning students of $40,000 We awarded $16,000 to IVC students pursuing a certificate. We awarded $30,000 to high school seniors attending IVC. We also awarded $8,000.to automotive tech students.

Operation School Bell

Provides school clothing, shoes, backpacks, school supplies, and hygiene kits to income-qualified children attending schools within the Irvine Unified School District.

Outcomes

Since its inception in 1990, Operation School Bell has clothed nearly 18,000 Irvine students from families in the Low and Extremely Low Income category (according to the HUD Income Guidelines for Orange County, CA). In 2022/23 we spent $95,486. and served 586 students.
