Jose Mendoza (he/they) is President and Chief Executive Officer. One of our founders, Jose is a first-generation, queer and nonbinary Latinx activist and educator with subject matter expertise as a disability rights, LGBTQIA+ rights, housing rights, and survivor rights advocate. Jose is double-certified by the State of California as a Domestic Violence Counselor and Sexual Assault/Rape Counselor. Jose identifies as having a disability, as a survivor of violence, and has experienced homelessness first-hand. Jose is fluent in Spanish and has a working proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
