CEO/Executive Director Experience
Hussam Ayloush has been our Executive Director since 1998. Hussam has been a lifelong human rights activist who is passionate about promoting democratic societies, in the US and worldwide, in which all people, including immigrants, workers, minorities, and the poor enjoy freedom, justice, economic justice, respect, and equality. He frequently lectures on Islam, media relations, civil rights, hate crimes and international affairs pertaining to American Muslims. He has consistently appeared in local, national, and international media advocating and articulating the mainstream Muslim position on various issues. Hussam holds a B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas, Austin and an M.B.A. degree from California State University, Fullerton.
