Empower 360
Our Family Empowerment & Support (FES) program is designed to help individuals and families achieve holistic well-being by focusing on the 8 dimensions of wellness through holistic case management. We call this, Empower360. Our core services include homeless prevention, workforce development, health navigation, and overall family wellness. The program offers a unique opportunity to examine both vulnerabilities and opportunities in order to empower the entire family. Working closely with a Case Manager and Client Advocate, our team provides ongoing support, encouragement, and connections to essential resources. Empower360 is dedicated to changing the trajectory of our communities and breaking the cycle of generational poverty.
Through the Empower360 initiative, our Family Empowerment & Support (FES) program has delivered measurable and impactful outcomes. Families participating in the program have demonstrated increased financial stability, improved access to housing, and enhanced overall wellness. By addressing vulnerabilities and connecting families to essential resources, we have successfully prevented homelessness, supported workforce development, and improved health outcomes. Our holistic approach has led to empowered families who are better equipped to break the cycle of generational poverty, ultimately creating a lasting positive impact on the well-being of our communities.
Teens Engaged in Learning and Leadership (TELL)
Teens Engaged in Learning and Leadership (TELL) program empowers youth ages 14-19 by combining leadership development, mentorship, workforce development, goal planning, and environmental studies to strategically address gang prevention and build personal resilience. Through strategic partnerships, individualized case management, diverse educational opportunities, and community engagement our youth are trained to be competent leaders in their community. With these enhanced skills, teens take the lead in conducting our Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) classes for younger children ages 6-13 during our out-of-school Day Camps, where they become proud mentors and positive role models. In addition, our Empower 360 approach will be layered on top as an expansion of our already successful Teens Engaged in Learning and Leadership program. The goal is to empower teens through a holistic exploration of the 8 domains of wellness that include financial, existential, career, social, emotional, intellectual, environmental, and physical. The ultimate goal is for all teens to leave the program well-versed in each domain and understand what it looks like to have a well-rounded wellbeing. With progress and direct exposure. Teens will be set on track for a life of success and leadership, ending the cycles of crime, poverty, and powerlessness that they grew up in.
Through the Teens Engaged in Learning and Leadership (TELL) program, youth ages 14-19 develop strong leadership, mentorship, and workforce skills, which translate into tangible outcomes such as increased personal resilience, community engagement, and positive role modeling for younger children. By integrating the Empower360 approach, teens are equipped with a holistic understanding of the 8 dimensions of wellness, leading to improved emotional intelligence, social awareness, financial literacy, and environmental stewardship. As they apply these skills, teens gain confidence in their ability to lead STEAM classes, mentor younger peers, and make meaningful contributions to their communities. Ultimately, the program prepares teens for lifelong success, helping to break cycles of crime, poverty, and powerlessness, while fostering a generation of empowered, responsible, and capable leaders.
TEAM & CHANGES (T&C)
The TEAM & CHANGES (T&C) program, funded by the California Public Utilities Commission, plays a vital role in supporting and advocating for monolingual families in our community. By assisting these families in navigating utility and telecommunications services, we help ease the financial burdens that often cause significant stress. Through T&C, the Delhi Center offers consumer protection workshops, advocacy, and dispute resolution to reduce utility and telecommunication bills. Our team works closely with service providers to find cost-saving programs, utility forgiveness options, and other financial relief resources. This comprehensive support helps families access essential services such as SoCalGas, Edison, and various phone companies, while also providing free services to those who have or are looking to open new accounts. By advocating on behalf of these families, we ensure they can focus on their well-being, without the added stress of financial strain, and ultimately create a more stable and empowered community.
Through T&C, Delhi is able to enroll its clients in low-income programs that reduce their utility and telecommunication bills, assist clients in obtaining extensions and payment plans, and stops pending disconnections. Not only does T&C help clients save money, but it also educates them and provides them the tools so that they can feel empowered, and most importantly, self-advocate.
