Statement from the Board Chair/President

El Sol Science and Arts Academy is an award-winning Spanish English dual language immersion K-8 public charter school located close to the heart of downtown Santa Ana, California. It is a community-based school, offering the primarily Latino surrounding community services beyond what the traditional schools offer, such as an integrated academic and arts-based extended day program, preschool and transitional kindergarten, a food bank, access to health services, and a rigorous bilingual arts and science focused curriculum. It also has strong ties with local institutions of higher education and community-based organizations which help to support our efforts in providing the highest standards for educating the whole child in preparation for college, career, and a fulfilling life.

Our outstanding teachers, administration, and staff, as well as our unique curricular structure encourage creativity, collaboration, and academic excellence. Our volunteer board of directors focuses on policies that enhance and promote the school’s strong academic programs, its fiscal health, and its ability to maintain a safe and accommodating environment for our growing and diverse student body.
