OCFA Fire Station 18 Health & Safety Modernization Project
Firehouse Infrastructure Alliance is partnering to support critical improvements at OCFA Fire Station 18, one of the oldest fire stations within the Orange County Fire Authority system. The project addresses aging infrastructure that impacts firefighter health, safety, and operational readiness. Planned improvements focus on creating a safer working environment through facility upgrades that support firefighter wellness, reduce exposure risks, and improve the station’s ability to serve the community. By investing in the facilities where firefighters live, train, and respond from, FIA helps ensure first responders have the resources necessary to protect the communities that rely on them. This project represents our commitment to strengthening emergency services through healthier, safer, and more resilient firehouse infrastructure.
The OCFA Fire Station 18 Health & Safety Modernization Project will improve firefighter health, safety, and operational readiness by addressing critical infrastructure needs within an aging fire station. Outcomes will include improved facilities that support firefighter decontamination practices, reduced exposure risks following emergency responses, and a healthier work environment for the personnel who serve the community.
The project will strengthen emergency response capabilities by ensuring firefighters have a safer and more functional facility from which to operate. The improvements will benefit current and future OCFA personnel while helping ensure the community continues to receive reliable, effective emergency services.
Firehouse Infrastructure Alliance will measure success through completion of identified facility improvements, project completion within budget, and feedback from OCFA personnel regarding improved safety and functionality of the station environment.
