PROGRAMS
Mom Match
We match each new mom with an experienced mom who will hold their hand throughout the third trimester and the first 6 months to a year after baby’s birth. Pairs connect weekly through in-person visits, phone calls, or video calls based on what works best for both. All matches are made thoughtfully based on personality, experience, and geographic proximity.
In our first year we aim to make at least 10 active Mom Supporter matches, serving 10 mothers through consistent weekly peer support. Research shows that one-on-one peer support during the postpartum period significantly reduces feelings of isolation and lowers the risk of postpartum depression. Our goal is that every matched mother reports feeling more supported, more confident, and less alone by the end of her match.
Meal Delivery
Volunteers prepare and deliver a home-cooked meal to a new or expecting mother's door, giving her one less thing to worry about during a demanding time. Deliveries are coordinated by our Volunteer Coordinator and scheduled based on family need and volunteer availability.
In our first year we aim to deliver 20–30 meals to families in South Orange County. Beyond the practical value of a warm meal, each delivery is a moment of human connection, and a reminder to a new mother that her community sees her and cares about her well being.
Housework help
Trained volunteers provide one to two hours of light household assistance to new and expecting mothers, including dishes, laundry, light tidying, meal prep, and other tasks that help a mom reclaim time to rest and bond with her baby. All visits are planned in advance and conducted within clearly defined boundaries to protect both the family and the volunteer.
In our first year we aim to complete 20 housework help visits. The impact of this program is practical and immediate. by reducing the burden of household tasks, we give new mothers hours back in their day to rest, recover, and focus on their baby.
Monthly Community Meetups
We host monthly community gatherings for new and expecting mothers in South Orange County. a safe, welcoming space to share experiences, swap tips, and simply be with others who understand what they're going through. Meetups are open to any mother in the community, regardless of whether she is receiving other services from us.
In our first year we aim to host 10 monthly meetups with growing attendance. Our goal is for every mother who attends to leave feeling more connected to her community. Over time, meetups serve as a natural entry point for mothers who may not yet be ready to request one-on-one support and a lasting community for those who have completed a Mom Supporter match.
