GFA Orange County Artistic Residency
The Rose Augustine Grand Prize winner of the GFA International Concert Artist Competition is awarded a 50 city concert tour as the competition prize. This winner will visit three different Orange Country public school programs to give a concert and hands-on workshop designed specifically for the students' level.
We believe that this Artistic Residency will raise the performance level of Orange County guitar students and inspire them to work towards artistic and technical excellence on their instrument. We would also like to connect with these students to invite them to the GFA Convention that will be held at Cal State Fullerton in 2024 and returns every three years. Our presence in Orange County is magnified by the convention's rotating host site at Cal State Fullerton, and we hope to maintain a regular connection to the students that are impacted by this new residency.
