Lion's Heart Teen Volunteers

Lion’s Heart empowers teens to become confident, compassionate leaders through meaningful volunteer service and leadership development. Founded in Orange County, California, and now active in 31 states with 204 chapters, Lion’s Heart connects young people with community needs while helping them build character, confidence, and lifelong habits of service. Members serve an average of 52 hours per year, contributing to a total of over 2.2 million hours of service nationwide. By combining mentorship, skill-building, and real-world volunteer experiences, Lion’s Heart cultivates a generation of changemakers who lead with purpose, empathy, and heart.

Lion’s Heart teens are making a measurable difference in communities across the country. Members have completed over 2.2 million hours of service, partnering with thousands of local nonprofits to address critical community needs. On average, each member contributes 52 hours of service per year, demonstrating consistent commitment and dedication.

The impact of Lion’s Heart extends far beyond high school: 80% of our alumni continue to volunteer after graduation, and 69% take on leadership roles in their schools, communities, and careers. These outcomes reflect Lion’s Heart’s mission to not only inspire service but to cultivate a generation of compassionate, confident, and engaged leaders who create lasting change.
