CEO/Executive Director Experience

Elizabeth Lambe has been involved in coastal protection issues for over 20 years. As Executive Director of the Los Cerritos Wetlands Land Trust, Elizabeth has increased the organization's ability to protect Los Cerritos Wetlands through strategic partnerships with community groups and elected officials as well as increased the impact of their advocacy campaigns. With the help of the Los Cerritos Wetlands Land Trust volunteers and board members, Elizabeth conceives and executes campaigns to defeat harmful development proposals and ensures there is infrastructure in place to grow our advocacy and public education efforts. At the Sierra Club, Elizabeth founded and managed the Sierra Club’s Great Coastal Places campaign, a network of over 5,000 activists that worked to successfully protect the Hearst Ranch property on the Central California coast, preserve Monterey's iconic pine forests from development and defend San Onofre State Beach from the Foothill South Toll Road.
