Since July, 2022, Lenore Waring has served as president, chief executive officer, and secretary of McNichols Learning Foundation, a 501c3 charity. She created this foundation to fill some of the gaps in our education system for children who can't read or work with numbers. Previously, she had her own business in organic change strategies. Then, through her friendship with Joan McNichols, she discovered 3-dimensional, multi-sensory math materials. She recognized that their effectiveness in teaching children math was rooted in organic change. Learning how to apply these methods led her deeper into children's educational struggles. Various modalities in phonics training showed her how to help children learn to read. Her background also enhanced those methods--positively impacting many children's lives. To honor Joan McNichols’ passion and understanding, she created this foundation for the children whose parents cannot afford private educational therapy or the psycho-educational testing that explains why their child needs it.
