PROGRAMS
Behavioral Health
OCAPICA provides culturally-responsive and comprehensive behavioral health services, which include community outreach, wellness and prevention workshops, mental health screenings, education, short-term counseling, peer support services, referrals, case management, and supportive services. • Project HOPE: short-term counseling and hate incident/crime navigation services • Well(ness)essity: outreach, education, peer support, wellness promotions, and referrals Additional intensive behavioral health services for community members living with serious emotional disturbances or serious mental illness include 24/7 crisis response/intervention, psychiatric services, educational and vocational support, benefits acquisition, individual and group therapy, linkage to primary care, transportation, housing, food, and co-occurring substance use disorder support. • Project FOCUS: intensive services for AANHPI children and young adults (0-25 years old) • Project SHINE-OC: intensive services for Vietnamese adults (18 years and older)

Housing Assistance
To help participants achieve financial stability, we provide case management and supportive services such as referrals to community resources, financial counseling, and rental and utilities assistance. We also help homeowners facing a COVID-related financial hardship with reverse mortgage and property tax payments, and by reducing or eliminating partial claim second mortgages and loan deferrals.
• Prevented 450 people (100+ families) from homelessness.
Health
We provide patient health navigation services including case management, medical interpretation, health education, access to health care systems, and insurance linkage for low to moderate-income families and community members.
• OCAPICA led the OC API Taskforce comprised of 12 organizations, reaching 918,003 people for COVID-19 outreach, 40% of which received COVID-19 supportive services.
Policy
OCAPICA serves as the Stop The Hate Regional Lead for Orange County and Inland Empire to deliver programs and administer funds to partners providing direct, prevention, and intervention services. Focus areas include Bystander Intervention trainings, nonpartisan voter mobilization, community and legislative advocacy, community education, and integration of policy advocacy and civic engagement across OCAPICA’s direct service departments.
• OCAPICA serves as the Stop the Hate Regional Lead for Orange County & Inland Empire, delivering programs and administering funds to 15 partners providing direct, prevention, and intervention services.
• Contacted 10,000+ residents through non-partisan voter engagement.
Youth Development
ROOTED empowers high school students across Anaheim Union High School District to become active leaders in their communities and future careers. This fellowship focuses on leadership through the lenses of social justice, civic engagement, career development, and wellness. Anaheim Anti-Vaping Endeavor is an anti-vape research, education, and prevention program. This program focuses on root causes and education on vaping and tobacco use.
• 100% of youth fellows attended a 4-year university.
• 100% of youth fellows increased their GPA.
