April Josephson, Esq. has been licensed to practice law in California for over 30 years, receiving a Bachelors Degree from USC in Philosophy and Political Science, prior to attending the University of San Diego School of Law—where she focused on California Administrative and Consumer Law. Ms. Josephson is the founder of two businesses—one a products manufacturer, and the other a service business—along with Pugs 'N Pals of Southern California, a nonprofit dog rescue group—prior to establishing The Pet Adoption Center of Orange County. While operating her businesses, Ms. Josephson completed her Masters Degree in Business Administration at the University of Phoenix, Southern California Campus. A South Orange County resident since 1976, Ms. Josephson was the South County representative to the OC Animal Care Community Outreach Committee for 15 years—appointed by the Orange County Board of Supervisors. Ms. Josephson's current board, commission, and committee duties include sitting on the City of Rancho Santa Margarita Community Development Block Grant Committee and the Board of Trustees of the Orange County Mosquito and Vector Control District—where she serves on the District’s Policy and Personnel and PR Committees. Previously, Ms. Josephson was on the Board of Directors the California Internet Service Provider Association, the Board of Directors of the Rancho Santa Margarita Chamber of Commerce, the Orange County Employer Advisory Council, the Rancho Santa Margarita Planning Commission, and the City of Rancho Santa Margarita Economic Development Committee. In recent years, Ms. Josephson has continued her legal education with a focus on the emerging field of Animal Law, as her passion for animal welfare developed. She has participated in a number of Animal Law conferences, seminars, and events, providing extensive background and resources for her pursuit—developing the first-of-its-kind pet adoption center in South Orange County. Most recently, she was interviewed in the online publication, Bold Journey.
