RiseHyre
OUR STORY
Empowerment Through Employment
Mission Statement
RiseHyre’s mission is to create a place where people who need job opportunities can receive training and experience in a professional field. Working with other non-profit partners, RiseHyre generates opportunities for people with barriers to employment, including opportunity youth, the unhoused, the formerly incarcerated, and survivors of domestic abuse—teaching skills and providing a pathway to future employment.
Background Statement
RiseHyre was founded by Scott Green, an Orange County entrepreneur and philanthropist who was inspired to create employment opportunities for people who face significant challenges entering the job market.
In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic was causing increased unemployment, disproportionately among marginalized populations. Scott’s vision was to create a nonprofit events organization that employs and trains people from underserved communities, while also providing valuable marketing and event services to other companies and organizations.
The company was launched in October 2020 with the goal of starting locally and expanding nationally to provide jobs and job training to thousands of people in need of sustainable employment.
RiseHyre collaborates with other non-profit partners to help find, train, and mentor employees and then generates apprentice-like opportunities. Candidates for our programs include people with barriers to employment, the formerly incarcerated, foster youth, the unhoused, and survivors of domestic violence.
Impact Statement
2025 Accomplishments
RiseHyre expanded its workforce development impact by serving aspiring professionals across Orange County through job readiness training, career coaching, and employment pathway support. Participants strengthened critical workplace skills including resume development, interviewing, communication, and professional confidence.
A major milestone this year was the successful relaunch of RiseHyre’s paid workforce apprenticeship model, providing participants with hands-on training, real-world experience, and employer connections designed to accelerate employment outcomes. Through partnerships with community organizations, colleges, and workforce agencies, participants were connected to employment opportunities, career exploration experiences, and supportive services that increased both stability and long-term career potential.
RiseHyre also strengthened its organizational capacity in 2025 by expanding partnerships, refining program curriculum, and increasing volunteer and mentor engagement to better support participant success.
2026 Goals
RiseHyre aims to deepen its impact and scale access to workforce opportunities for individuals facing employment barriers across Orange County.
Our primary goals include:
1. Expand and sustain the RiseHyre Apprenticeship Program by increasing cohort size and employer participation.
2. Strengthen employer partnerships to increase job placements in hospitality, business services, events, and customer-facing industries.
3. Grow organizational capacity through staff development, volunteer engagement, and program infrastructure improvements.
4. Increase access to supportive services by strengthening partnerships with community-based organizations that address housing, transportation, and stability barriers impacting employment success.

To successfully expand our impact, RiseHyre is seeking strategic partners, resources, and funding support in several key areas.
