Emergency Assistance Program

Share the Dough’s Emergency Assistance Program was established to help employees offset expenses in cases of an unexpected and catastrophic life events in which they are facing severe financial hardship where all other sources of funding have been exhausted. Examples of qualifying emergencies include, but are not limited to: Loss of home due to fire, flood or other catastrophic event; medical emergency; emergency travel; purchase of medically necessary equipment; transitional housing assistance in cases of domestic violence, physical danger, discrimination, health risks; funeral expenses; unexpected loss of child care.

Outcomes

Provide financial assistance to all eligible requests to give a hand up to those in crisis situations. We have found that by providing financial, resource and emotional support, families and individuals are better equipped to manage and overcome crisis situations.

Chaplaincy Program

A trained and certified chaplain provide confidential and free care the Manna employees and their relations. Areas the chaplain is trained includes but is not limited to: marriage and family support, grief counseling, job stress, hospital services, depression, stress and anxiety, addition, mental health, conflict resolution, death and dying, divorce care and support and suicide prevention.

Educational Scholarship Fund

The Share the Dough fund provides up to $2000 in educational support for Manna Development employees, their spouses and dependents who are pursuing higher education.

Provide $2000 scholarships to 60 students pursuing higher education to assist and support academic-related expenses such as tuition, fees, books and supplies.

Change for Children Grant Program

Share the Dough raises funds to support local and national organizations that care for children in need. Our donation partners each receive a percentage of these funds in order to support underserved and at-risk children and their families by providing many services including, but not limited to: Support for victims of abuse and violence Necessities for children affected by war, natural disaster, famine, poverty, and disease Nutritious meals Backpacks filled with school supplies Help in times of emergency situations Blessing families during the Christmas season

Support local and national nonprofits on the front lines of caring for and protecting vulnerable children and their families. We aim for long-term partnerships with nonprofits that are transparent, impactful and loving to those in our community that need the most love and protection- our children.

New Baby Bundle Program

Share the Dough provides a bundle of gifts to new and expecting parents in our Panera family! Items in the bundle include: diapers, wipes, toys, clothes, a gift card, and a baby bible.
