CEO/Executive Director Experience

Justine Palmore joined StandUp For Kids Orange County in August 2006 as an intern and became the organizations Executive Director in October 2008. Under her leadership StandUp For Kids Orange County revenues increased from $24,000 to $1.3M annually. The Orange County program grew from 100% volunteer-based to having 8 full-time, and 3 part-time staff members, and over 100 active volunteers are serving nearly 1400 youth in 2023. Justine takes a vision and makes it reality through sound strategy development. She intuitively sees the threads of opportunity that are intertwined through our organization, brings them together into a coherent whole. She specializes in administrative and fiscal challenges, collaborative solutions, and program development. She has held numerous leadership positions both locally and nationally while with StandUp For Kids including serving as the peer elected Board representative for the Executive Directors nationwide, serving on the national Board of Directors and participating as Interim CEO from 2012-2014. She’s helped lead the national organization through both transition and growth. She’s served in a number of board capacities Finance Chair, Fundraising Chair and Treasurer of StandUp For Kids, Inc. She is a Certified Addiction Recovery Counselor and holds her BS in Human Services, with a minor in Finance.
