As CEO, Lindsey Pluimer leads the organization’s efforts to alleviate systematic poverty and gender inequality in East Africa through access to clean water and sustainable agriculture. Lindsey was an All-American basketball player at UCLA who went on to play professionally. After traveling to Africa as a volunteer one offseason, Lindsey retired from professional basketball and founded With My Own Two Hands Foundation in 2011. She has since dedicated her career to international development efforts that address the impacts of inequality, gender bias and climate change in vulnerable communities. As a philanthropist, Lindsey is passionate about global development, climate change and creating a more gender equal world. She is a member of Women Moving Millions and NEID Global.
