Making HERstory
In honor of Women’s History Month—and in full expression of the Women’s Journey Foundation mission—we present a powerful, multi-generational educational experience through our signature program Making HERstory Making HERstory is more than a production—it is a living tribute to the women who shaped America. Through dynamic dramatic performances, actors embody influential women who defied stereotypes, shattered barriers, and transformed history. Their voices rise from the stage as we celebrate not only the trailblazers of the past, but the women of today who carry that same courage into leadership, business, education, science, the arts, and beyond. History becomes personal. Legacy becomes visible. Inspiration becomes contagious. Our programs create a transformational experience where generations connect, history empowers, and girls learn that when they understand the courage of the women who came before them, they begin to recognize their own potential to rise.
Making HERstory events attract hundreds of people each year including educators, celebrities and influential people who are passionate about the Arts and Education. Over 90% of girls who participate in our programs/productions report they feel more confident.
I AM Woman Program
Since 2002 the Women's Journey Foundation has produced empowering women's events in Orange County and Los Angeles. We collaborate with other women organizations to create programs that fit most demographics. Our program also reaches out to local transitional homes and shelters for women. The WJF programs strengthens resilience in women of all ages.
Women and Girls love our engaging and interactive workshops that build strength and confidence.
Girls Free Self-Esteem I CAN program
Since 2006 thousands of girls have benefited from this program. The Women's Journey Foundation works with over 18 non-profit and foster care organizations from Los Angeles to San Diego. Our programs are designed to be fun, educational, interactive and engaging. The WJF creates workshops and events that help young girls discover their talents and strengths. Role models/celebrities/athletes address girls on career choices. Alongside the production, the I CAN Program for Girls provides free self-esteem and leadership workshops designed to help girls discover their inherent worth. We equip them with practical tools to build confidence, navigate challenges, and cope with depression—reminding them that they are not alone and that their story matters.
Girls who attend our events feel confident and strong. Many return each year while others volunteer. Our programs prevent teenage suicide, drug/alcohol addiction, poor life decisions.
