Mission Statement

Established in 1984, it is the mission of the Anaheim Community Foundation (ACF) to build community through people, partnerships and pride.

Background Statement

ACF is a 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation dedicated to improving the quality of life in Anaheim by connecting donors to community needs they care about and providing leadership in critical community issues. Together with our donors and partners, we:

• Address community needs and drive improved outcomes
• Advance the work of our nonprofit community through grants and support
• Provide low-income families with youth program scholarships
• Promote volunteerism and community participation
• Connect donors charitable investments that directly benefit the Anaheim community

Impact Statement

ACF is a core community institution by fostering collaboration, championing philanthropy, and driving community impact. The following are a few examples that demonstrate our impact:

PANDEMIC RELIEF
With $4 million entrusted to ACF from the City of Anaheim, ACF led its Response & Recovery pandemic relief program, administering grants to 76 nonprofit organizations to help marginalized populations significantly impacted by the pandemic

IMPACT ANAHEIM
Led the collaborative 2024 ImpACT Anaheim giving day, which successfully raised over $261,140 from 529 donors to support at-promise youth;

ACT ANAHEIM
As the lead convener of ACT Anaheim, with growing cross-sector collaboration and a revitalized framework to promote college and career pathways, mental resilience, and civic leadership among Anaheim youth/teens. Thanks to a $1M Federal Grant, our ACT partner organizations completed a year-long effort to expand mental health programs and touched 18,500 youth.

HELPING HANDS GRANTS
Over the past three years, ACF awarded over $175,000 in Helping Hands grants to over 75 community organizations. Thanks to the support of our donors, including the Disneyland Resort, funded programs provided a broad range of life-enriching services, including youth mentoring, literacy, water safety, cultural arts, education, career readiness, and resources for families and the community.

Statement from the Board Chair/President

On behalf of our entire board, we thank Anaheim residents for their generosity in supporting ACF for the benefit of our community. Because of the Foundation’s minimal operating costs, donors have the unique opportunity to give locally and be secure in the knowledge that their gifts are directed to the program of their choice. Donors have the opportunity to make a difference, be remembered, and enrich the quality of life in our community now and in the future.
