PROGRAMS

Triple Play

Triple Play programming teaches youth how to make healthier choices. The program is focused on the Mind, Body, and Soul, with a holistic approach to educating our members on good nutrition, physical fitness as a daily practice, and good character and individual strengths. The Triple Play program also includes the heart of our Clubs, the Gamesroom.

Outcomes

All members participate in Triple Play throughout the school year and summer. In the last year, members planted garden beds, watered and nurtured their crops, and then harvested them to prepare a simple salad. Athletic activities included basketball, dodge ball, football and daily challenges.

SMART Programs (Skills Mastery and Resistance Training)

SMART Moves is a comprehensive program that helps our members resist alcohol, tobacco and other drug use, as well as premature sexual activity and gang activity.

Budget
$324,213
Outcomes

This year-round program features engaging, interactive, small-group activities that increase peer support, enhance life skills, build resiliency, and strengthen leadership skills for all participants.

Project Learn/Power Hour

Project Learn reflects our goal of helping all members reach their full potential. We spend time on academics throughout the school year and during the summer. Power Hour offers a structured time and place for Club staff and volunteers to help members with their homework. Thanks to Power Hour and Project Learn, in which all members participate, our youth are better prepared for their classes and proud of their hard work and accomplishments.
