CEO/Executive Director Experience
Ofelia Hanson was named the new Executive Director in September of 2023. Ofelia is an alumni of the Boys & Girls Clubs of La Habra and former Youth of the Year. In her 25 years as a staff member, Ofelia has worked in nearly every department of our Club. In 2007, she was an integral part of bringing the Prop. 49 After- School Education & Safety Program to La Habra. Under her guidance, the program has made it possible to serve up to an additional 1,400 students annually. Ofelia is a native of La Habra, former La Habra business owner, serves on the La Habra City School District Board of Education, and is an active member of the La Habra Host Lions Club. Ofelia has a heart for this organization and the youth that we serve.
