OUR STORY

We promote relationships, build skills, and connect families allowing each person to reach their highest potential.

Mission Statement

We promote relationships, build skills, and connect families allowing each person to reach their highest potential.

Background Statement

With a goal to offer affordable psychotherapy for families, couples, and individuals of all ages and stages, Dr. Toni Dunning established The Center for Restored and Connected Families in 2019. We are passionate about meeting the needs of children and adolescents and offer support to caregivers and families. Our therapists will treat you with respect and honor, notice your strengths and needs, and walk alongside you to help build skills and relationships that last a lifetime!

Our logo reflects the importance of connection, structure, and joy which are at the heart of healthy family relationships. As we provide behavioral health care and support pre-licensed marriage & family therapists–we look forward to providing services that uplift all family members! It is our privilege to honor and work with individuals from all walks of life and to tailor services to meet client goals and promote healthy attachment and relationships.

Impact Statement

In the past year, our program has continued to implement community-based, affordable behavioral health services leveraging managed care.

We have also furthered our clinical training accomplishments in several areas. One of our therapists, Raul, completed his practicum, has his MA as a Marriage and Family Therapist, and is registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Another therapist, Kathleen, completed her Family Systems Trauma and Theraplay intermediate-level certifications. We also brought on a new trainee, Eva, to start her practicum and guide her in this next step of her professional journey.

We are also excited about the new administrative staff that have recently joined the team. The Admin Assistant aids new and prospective clients in getting set up with the proper therapist for their needs, as well as assists with administrative and office tasks. We also brought on a new insurance specialist who further streamlines our operations and ensures more families can access services through their insurance plans or through providing superbills.

Needs Statement

To train the next generation of therapists who ethically integrate Christian faith with psychotherapy and provide affordable care, we have identified these pressing needs:

Training and Mentorship: Prelicensed associates and trainees need resources for mentorship and training in law/ethics, theory and application, interventions, and client satisfaction.

Fair Compensation: Funding is essential to fairly compensate supervisors, staff, and support roles for their vital contributions.

Career Growth: Clear advancement pathways are needed to retain talented staff and benefit the community.

Program Expansion: Additional financial support is critical to sustain and expand training programs.

Operational Resources: Infrastructure and administrative support are needed to meet growing demands and streamline processes.

Addressing these needs ensures we train skilled therapists and expand access to compassionate, quality mental health care.
