Ednovate’s mission is to create Positive Multigenerational Change by providing college-prep, tuition-free education, with a focus on first-generation, college-bound high schoolers across Southern California. When each student first steps on to an Ednovate campus, we have a vision of that student stepping off of the graduation stage four years later, ready for success in college and beyond. We believe in the academic promise of each student; we set high expectations and boost our students with strong supports and personalized counseling and mentoring, which brings into clear focus that vision of college success and a bright future.

Ednovate is a network of free, public, open top all, college-prep high schools in Los Angeles and Orange County, co-founded in partnership with the USC Rossier School of Education. We serve students from communities that have historically had less access to high-quality educational opportunities, with a particular focus on preparing first-generation college-bound students for success in college, career, and life. Approximately 98% of Ednovate students are students of color, and 82% come from low-income households.
Ednovate students are demonstrating what is possible when high expectations are paired with personalized support. For the Class of 2026, 100% of seniors were accepted to four-year colleges and universities, with students earning an average of 10 college acceptances each. On California’s 2025 state assessments, 71% of Ednovate 11th graders met or exceeded standards in English language arts, and Ednovate students also achieved an 84.1% College/Career Indicator rate—reflecting strong preparation for the opportunities that come after graduation.
But success at Ednovate is about more than academic achievement. We aim to graduate self-aware, engaged young adults prepared to lead lives of purpose and impact. Through rigorous academics, college and career preparation, meaningful relationships, and opportunities to understand themselves and their communities, students build the knowledge, confidence, and agency to create Positive Multigenerational Change.
The Ednovate experience is intentionally personal. Our schools cultivate a strong sense of belonging and a family-style culture where students are known, supported, challenged, and encouraged to pursue ambitious goals for their futures.

Since 2012, Ednovate has expanded its network to operating eight free, public, open to all, , high-performing college prep high schools in Los Angeles and Orange County – USC Hybrid High College Prep, USC East College Prep, Legacy College Prep, Brio College Prep, Esperanza College Prep, and USC South LA College Prep,Encore College Prep, and Atlas College Prep. For the past two year, Ednovate has proudly realized a 100% college acceptance rate. There is a high demand for our schools reinforcing our growth plans to open more of our positive multigenerational change-focused schools by 2030, bringing high-quality college prep to even more students in traditionally underserved communities.

Our goal is threefold: build upon our innovative and holistic Whole Child Report Card platform that we’ve been developing since 2017, strengthen our College and Career Readiness Program across all of our eight campuses, and lead high-quality professional development opportunities for our staff members.

What makes Ednovate special is the strength of the relationships between our students and educators. Those relationships begin with a simple but powerful belief: every student has tremendous potential, and every student deserves to have someone who sees it, nurtures it, and helps them realize it.

Across our schools, our educators bring that belief to life through personalized support, high expectations, and a deep commitment to knowing each student as an individual. We are not simply working to help students reach the graduation stage or earn a college acceptance. We want them to have the confidence, skills, and support they need to thrive in college, build meaningful careers, and shape the futures they envision for themselves and their families.

For many of our students who will be the first in their families to attend college, that connection and belief can be transformative. There is tremendous joy in watching a young person discover what they are capable of—and in knowing that the impact of their success can extend far beyond one student or one graduating class.

That is what our mission of Positive Multigenerational Change means to me. It is the idea that when we invest deeply in our students today, we help open doors for families and communities for generations to come. I am incredibly proud of the Ednovate educators who make that mission real every day by believing in our students, challenging them, supporting them, and helping them build extraordinary futures.
