Ednovate’s mission is to create Positive Multigenerational Change by providing college-prep, tuition-free education, with a focus on first-generation, college-bound high schoolers across Southern California.

Ednovate is a network of public, tuition-free, high-performing college prep high schools in Los Angeles and Orange County cofounded by USC Rossier School of Education and CEO Oliver Sicat. We serve first-generation college-bound students from traditionally underserved communities. Most Ednovate students come from communities that have been underserved for decades by the public education system. About 98% of Ednovate’s enrollment is students of color, and 82% come from low-income households.

Our students have a 99% college acceptance rate, but what matters even more is that we’re graduating self-aware, engaged young adults who are headed toward a life of purpose and impact. We prepare high school students from Southern California’s most under-resourced communities for success in school and life, empowering them to use their college degrees and careers to make a positive multigenerational change.

The Ednovate experience is less like high school, and more like family. We intentionally develop a schoolwide culture in which every student has a sense of belonging.

Since 2012, Ednovate has expanded its network to operating six public, tuition-free, high-performing college prep high schools in Los Angeles and Orange County – USC Hybrid High College Prep, East College Prep, Legacy College Prep, Brio College Prep, Esperanza College Prep, and South LA College Prep. This 2023-2024 school year, Ednovate elevated its impact by serving over 2,700 students, of which 98% are students of color, 85% come from low-income households, and many of whom will be the first in their families to go to college. Since its inception, Ednovate has proudly realized a nearly 100% college acceptance rate and continues to experience high demand for our schools with all of our campuses consistently exceeding enrollment goals and three of our campuses experiencing growing enrollment waitlists – reinforcing our growth plans of growing to 11 schools by 2030, bringing high-quality college prep to even more students in traditionally underserved communities.

Our goal is threefold: build upon our innovative and holistic Whole Child Report Card platform that we’ve been developing since 2017, strengthen our College and Career Readiness Program across all of our six campuses, and lead high-quality professional development opportunities for our staff members.
