College and Career Readiness Program
Ednovate’s College & Career Readiness Program empowers juniors and seniors across all of our campuses with information about college majors, careers, and pathways. This holistic program guides students in understanding majors, careers, and pathways, offering services comparable to private college counselors. It is a comprehensive initiative aimed at equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed for a successful transition to college. It assists students throughout the college prep process with a focus on both college admission and college retention. This program includes key components like College Knowledge and the College Readiness Seminar, both of which play a crucial role in providing our students with essential tools for academic success.
We exist to close the college attainment gap for all students, particularly those from underserved communities. By providing comprehensive support and resources, we empower our students to achieve academic excellence and post-secondary success. Our expected outcomes for the current school year include:
100% of Ednovate students graduate meeting A-G requirements, ensuring they qualify to apply to a range of postsecondary options, including the CSU and UC systems.
100% of Ednovate students are accepted to a four-year university
80% of students across all identity groups meet Whole Child College Readiness Indicators
100% of Ednovate seniors complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
By achieving these outcomes, Ednovate will ensure that each student has access to a choice-filled life and economic mobility, fulfilling our mission to provide equitable educational opportunities for all.
Whole Child Report Card
Whole Child Report Card: Building on the demonstrated success of the Ednovate model, we developed and launched the digital Whole Child Report Card (WCRC), an innovative tool that can transform the way high schools educate, prepare, and assess students for college readiness. The WCRC offers students real-time insights into Annual College Readiness Indicators (ACRIs), such as college rigor, critical thinking, presence, mastery, self-regulation, and purpose. These indicators are not captured in the traditional report card, yet are critical to college attainment and success. Our WCRC dashboard empowers students and families to identify strengths and areas for growth, supporting increased college completion and fostering positive multigenerational change. (Serving all 2,800 Ednovate students)
The WCRC has empowered students by giving them access to their up-to-date data in one place for the first time. Previously, they relied on their advisors for this information. Now, students can independently monitor their Whole Child College Prep, allowing them to make informed decisions about their focus areas. The daily updates enable them to track their progress continuously, significantly enhancing their overall educational journey.
