Maricela Rios-Faust, MSW, LCSW, CFRE

CEO/Executive Director Experience

Maricela Rios-Faust has served as Human Options' CEO since February 2016, following the retirement of founding CEO, Vivian Clecak. Previously Ms. Rios-Faust had served as Human Options' Associate Executive Director and Chief Operations Officer since 2007.  She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and a Certified Fundraising Executive.  She has an extensive background in strategic leadership, nonprofit management and fundraising, is passionate about our work, and has built many meaningful collaborations that have expanded our programs and services and increased our impact in the community. Through her work with the Blue Shield Strong Field Project, Ms. Rios-Faust has focused on developing leadership within the agency by connecting staffs’ passion for the work of Human Options with the larger social issue of domestic violence.  Ms. Rios-Faust is recognized as a leader in domestic violence prevention and treatment.  She is the President of the Board for Family Violence Appellate Project and serves as the chair for the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence, a statewide organization to prevent and end domestic violence (two-year term).  She also co-chairs the Orange County Domestic Violence Death Review Team, serves on the Orange County Women’s Health Project Advisory Board.  Ms. Rios-Faust was named one of "Orange County’s Most Influential of 2014" for her leadership on increasing awareness of the health impacts of domestic violence.
