OUR STORY

To provide charitable support to communities and first responder affected by disaster.

Mission Statement

To provide charitable support to communities and first responder affected by disaster.

Background Statement

Every year, millions of people around the world lose their homes to natural disasters and other unforeseen events. At the same time, many of the insurance agencies are pulling out of high risk environments, leaving homeowners underinsured, with no coverage or lapse in coverage. Many of these homeowners cannot obtain adequate insurance, leaving them with the financial burden of rebuilding their homes on their own; at risk for homelessness. The International Fire Foundation is the bridge across the gap in long term recovery for communities and first responders affected by disaster.

Impact Statement

The International Fire Foundation (IFF), through its flagship digital resource FireGuide.org, exists to reduce and eliminate unintentional and unnecessary homelessness for high-risk populations following fire and disaster. We bridge the current gap between immediate emergency response and long-term recovery, ensuring affected communities receive vital long term recovery education and step by step assistance before making critical decisions.

Needs Statement

We value public support, private investment and community connection; through collaboration and sponsorship we can protect the health and safety of every community. As always, long term housing is the largest pain point for affected communities; any assistance around shelter is welcome.
