CEO/Executive Director Experience
Executive Director Amy Hastings has been a key part of The Jester & Pharley Phund’s success for 23 years. Experienced in running an office, she was initially hired as office manager. She showed intense interest in everything The Phund was doing and participated actively in developing our literacy and outreach programs. She has proved especially valuable in the development of the Reading Makes A Difference program brought to low-income schools as well as our Smiles for Kids With Cancer medical program giving “Jester” books and dolls to children hospitalized with serious medical challenges. Amy has continued educating herself in nonprofit operations and best practices, participating actively in all projects, including development of our new www.thejester.org website. She was named Program Director in 2009, overseeing both literacy and medical programs and managing staff. In 2016, she was named Executive Director and has continued to expand even further her extraordinary skills in organization, efficiency, creativity, management and development.
