Just Gather
OUR STORY

Our nation's first digital detox nonprofit is here to restore balance, values and people before phones.
Mission: mental wellness and positive mindsets for youth and families
How: Nature, the arts & gratitude for inner peace. Neuroscience and cognitive behavioral therapies intertwined into all evidence based curricula.
Why now?
Pressure to be “on” all the time. Screen dependencies create mental confusion and socio-emotional neglect. An average teen checks one message and suddenly an hour is gone. A parent answers work texts during dinner. A couple sits together but feels far apart. Grandparents scrolling in front of early learners. The cost isn’t just “too much screen time.” Distractions and external validation concerns impact life quality. Screen overuse impacts sleep, confidence, friendships, family bonds, time outdoors, creativity and intuition.
Mission Statement
Positive mindsets and mental wellness for youth and families.
Background Statement
We are the Nation’s first digital detox nonprofit here to reduce substance abuse, prevent stress related illnesses, expand brain potentials & awaken individual purpose. We use nature, the arts and gratitude as paths to inner peace. We encourage pro-social behaviors & inter-generational mentorship. “Love One Another” school clubs ensure students connect tech free while helping others via philanthropy. We teach holistic wellness as the basis for healthy connected communities where people come before screens.
Impact Statement
Just Gather has served over 10,000 individuals since 2022 through community events, empowerment play-shop partnerships, environmental stewardship land-clean ups, gratitude hikes and cognitive behavioral therapies. All students surveyed report an increased state of well being, improved focus and academic performance, substance abuse reduction and a more clear sense of individual purpose.

Statement from the CEO/Executive Director
"As a licensed therapist, counselor and social worker, I am honored to lead a nonprofit that helps our children feel seen, heard and important. We are at a critical turning point for humanity where we must stand up for families, values, and the brains of our children. Both ed tech and social media harm developing minds. Addictions to video games, sugar, dopamine are at all time highs. Political unrest increases anxiety in all generations. Just Gather programs restore balance, body, mind and spirit. We help folks get beyond the worldly distractions to find the peace that lives within. Please join us." CEO Arolyn Burns, LMFT, LPCC,
Statement from the Board Chair/President
