Laguna Dance Festival

Laguna Dance has presented world-class dance performances on stage, film, and public spaces to expose new audiences to professional concert dance.
2100 students have attended dance classes and workshops, 75 educational classes, and over 100 scholarships were awarded to emerging dance artist. We have curated more than 65 free Art Walks and hosted over 35 principal guest artists with over 22,000 audience members reached, gaining an appreciation for dance and athleticism. Our Festival has featured more than 60 top-tiered international, national, and regional dance companies. Laguna Dance has not just transformed the stage, but united our community through the power of movement. This year Laguna Dance will expand education programs with Laguna Beach Unified School District, creating dance curricula for 2nd graders that integrates movement with math, social studies, and cultural history. This fills a gap in arts access while supporting cognitive development. We will be deepening partnerships with the Laguna Art Museum for Art & Nature, and with the Philharmonic Society to merge live music with dance in performances at the Laguna Playhouse

The last few years Laguna Dance has collaborated with the OC Philharmonic, offering live music for some of the dances and in return, Laguna Dance provides several specifically choreographed pieces for their music festival. Wrapped around the main event are lectures and demonstrations, and master classes.
Tickets sales are strong and at least one performance sells out speaking volumes to the quality of artists presented.
