PROGRAMS

Active Mentorship

OpenWater’s focus on adventure, exercise, and fellowship taps into evidence-based strategies for reducing stress, alleviating PTSD symptoms, and fostering resilience in military and first responder communities. Our programs focus on the following areas: • Transformational Breathwork: breath control to harness the nervous system, optimize movement, boost recovery, reduce anxiety and the symptoms of PTSD, and improve cognition function. • Water Immersion: underwater breath control techniques to improve CO2 tolerance to increase endurance, delay fatigue, reduce stress, and manage fear. • Active Mentorship: fellowship and peer support that builds connection and resilience, reduces isolation, and uses the power of community to improve mental health.
