Transforming our Community's Heartfelt Intention into Greater Impact for Good

The Orange County Community Foundation (OCCF) combines giving strategy, community intelligence, enduring relationships, and heartfelt intention to amplify the power of giving and its profound result: greater good in Orange County, and beyond. We serve as a resource for individual and family philanthropists, facilitate grant and scholarship programs, and lead community-based initiatives. We inspire giving and connect people and resources to create sustainable impact, granting $1.25 billion since 1989 in Orange County, across the country, and around the world.

In fiscal year 2025 (year ending 6/30/25), OCCF achieved a groundbreaking $125 million in grants and scholarships, the largest amount ever awarded in our 36-year history!

2025 Highlights:

Through our newly launched Family Volunteer Program, multi-generational fund holders teamed up with local nonprofits for days of service that allowed them to have hands on experience delivering holiday gifts to families in emergency shelters, assembling STEM Kits, building joy jars, and so much more.

Our Family Foundation Alliance brought together local philanthropic families for learning and connection—from exploring resilient nonprofit strategies and youth mental health solutions to community site visits and our year-end Celebration of Giving—strengthening collective impact across Orange County.

We also celebrated incredible milestones including 15 years of The Village at 17th, a decade of iheartOC Giving Days, and five years of transformative work through our African American Alliance Fund.

Turning today’s generosity into tomorrow’s impact requires more than just good intentions. It demands a bold vision, informed strategies, and philanthropic know-how. It calls for the perfect blend of head and heart.

That’s why we’re launching Vision 2030– our five-year strategic plan to amplify giving, support our donors’ philanthropic goals, and nurture thriving communities in Orange County and beyond.

Supporting the local communities we hold dear is a key pillar of our Vision 2030 plan. A promising future for Orange County depends on knowing what our unique communities need and delivering solutions to the real challenges they face. Over the next five years, OCCF is committing to six core initiatives that reflect our shared commitment to Orange County’s thriving future:

Preserving our coastlines, open spaces, and natural resources so future generations inherit a healthy home.

Community Power Building
Strengthening voices too often left unheard, ensuring every community has a seat at the table.

Surrounding children and youth with the support and resources they need to live healthy, hopeful lives.
