Vision 2030 Orange County Community Initiatives
Supporting the local communities we hold dear is a key pillar of our Vision 2030 plan. A promising future for Orange County depends on knowing what our unique communities need and delivering solutions to the real challenges they face. Over the next five years, OCCF is committing to six core initiatives that reflect our shared commitment to Orange County’s thriving future: Economic Opportunity: Creating pathways to good jobs, living wages, and shared prosperity across Orange County. Educational Access: Opening doors so every student – no matter their background – has the chance to learn, grow, and succeed. Women’s Health: Supporting and strengthening women’s health and well-being at every stage of life. Environmental Stewardship: Preserving our coastlines, open spaces, and natural resources so future generations inherit a healthy home. Community Power Building: Strengthening voices too often left unheard, ensuring every community has a seat at the table. Youth Mental Health: Surrounding children and youth with the support and resources they need to live healthy, hopeful lives.
The Orange County Community Foundation along with our funding partners invest approximately $2,000,000 into our community impact initiatives each year to improve the lives of those that call Orange County their home.

Donor Advised Granting

The Orange County Community Foundation has granted over $1 billion since our inception. The generosity and passion of the people of Orange County have put OCCF in top 1% of the most active grant-makers among 780 U.S. community foundations.
Field of Interest Granting
Through our field of interest grant programs, we provide assistance to programs and organizations in Orange County that support a variety of fields: the arts, local culture, the environment, education, health and human services and youth development. Our grant programs are the result of income generated by our unrestricted, field-of-interest endowment and legacy funds.
Through our board discretionary granting we have helped Orange County nonprofits to build capacity, improve operations and provide needed services in our county.
