Ms. Nora Mendez

CEO/Executive Director Experience

The youngest of ten children, Nora Mendez came to this country after years of working in the fields. Her family was introduced when she became a resident of OCCHC and as a result of stable housing and educational services, Mendez graduated from CSU Fullerton with a degree in Human Services, became a homeowner and now Executive Director of the same organization that helped her step up to self-sufficiency. Nora is an example to our families and her experience helps drive transformative change in the lives of families once living on the brink of homelessness through affordable housing and education. Mendez serves as a Board Member for the Kennedy Commission, National CORE and NeighborWorks OC. She was also honored by LULAC and the 65th Assembly District for her advocacy and service to our communities and inducted in Santa Ana College's 2017 Alumni Hall of Fame alongside Elizabeth Aitken, Steven Craig, Jack DeWit and Denise Spooner.
