Mission Statement
Homeless Intervention Towards a Pathway Home! OFT walks alongside our neighbors experiencing chronic homelessness, connecting them to agencies with the goal of ending their cycle of homelessness, ensuring their journey back to RESTORATION.
Background Statement
Our Father's Table was founded on the fundamental idea that EVERYONE, no matter background, mistakes made or struggles they face – addictions, mental illnesses or disabilities – should have a chance to improve their quality of life.
Our chronic homeless intervention program, Project: Restoration, is the solution that breaks the cycle of chronic homelessness, one person at a time. Project: Restoration addresses chronic homelessness at its cause knowing chronic homelessness is a symptom of a deeper-rooted problem.
Last year, as a result of our interventions, more than 95% of our folks continued to remain stably housed, as well as clean and sober, one year after they entered our program.
Impact Statement
Over 397 LIFTED with a 95% Success Rate - Our Father's Table, Project: Restoration proves the cycle of chronic homelessness can end, one person at a time.
Chronic homelessness is growing every year in Orange County with no slowing in sight. Since 2007, chronic homelessness has increased 966% and 15% from 2022 to 2023. In the Orange County 2023 Point In Time count, over 69% of homeless are chronic and unsheltered. We know that no single agency fills all the needs of a chronic homeless individual, and the Homeless Services System is complicated and overwhelming.
Our alumni work, pay taxes, rent apartments, own homes, purchase groceries, graduate college, get married, have children, become great parents. They give back by volunteering, sharing their life experiences with others who are still working their way out of homelessness. They live fulfilled lives: spiritually, physically, and emotionally and become part of their community, enriching the of lives of everyone around them.
Real Life Impact: Over 397 men, women, and children are stable, clean and sober in a place called home. Our alumni overcome the obstacles that, in the past, had contributed to them ending up on the streets over and over again. We teach them life skills, building resilience, and self-sufficiency so they can become contributing members of society.
$100,759 = annual cost of public services per chronic homeless person living on the streets or in shelters in OC.
$51,587 = annual cost of Permanent Supportive Housing per homeless person
$0 = Goal of Project: Restoraion - Self-sufficiency, becoming contributing members of society.

Statement from the CEO/Executive Director
I am often asked what makes OFT's Project: Restoration Care Navigator's from the pack. My answer is always, "Everything about us!" Our work is miscategorized as “street outreach,” let us be clear, we are not street outreach. OFT takes a holistic approach; our focus is with the greatest attention paid to the whole individual. Utilizing evidence-based practice models to ensure the success and permanence in breaking the cycle of their chronic homelessness, once and for all. The work we do is methodical and does not fit within the constraints of normal business hours. Why you may ask? Because real life does not happen between 9 & 5. Not everyone wants to be saved. This is a unique attribute of Our Father’s Table work. We are able to identify those who will be or are ready from those who are not. We are not trying to help everyone because tragically not everyone wants to be helped or can be saved. We do not focus our efforts, time and resources on hand outs, enabling or triaging the homeless, ultimately perpetuating someone’s life in chronic homelessness. We are not satisfied with just “bringing hope” to our homeless. We would rather bring real change and end their cycle of chronic homelessness. Why bring hope when you can bring real change? Why put a Band-Aid when you can heal the wound?
