Dr. Patty Perales Huerta

CEO/Executive Director Experience

Dr. Patty Perales Huerta received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology. She completed a competitive American Psychological Association approved pre-doctoral internship at the San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health. Her rotations focused on Community Mental Health and Forensic/Correctional psychology. She also completed a practicum placement with the California Institution for Men, Chino. She is a licensed clinical psychologist and an adjunct Professor at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Her areas of interest include strengthening communities, multicultural mental health, treatment of shame, trauma, and forensic and correctional treatment. She has presented at numerous local, national and international conferences. She co-authored and participated in the creation of a community-accessible textbook deriving from the partnership between Padres Unidos and Chapman University “Let’s Chat―Cultivating Community University Dialogue: A Coffee Table Textbook on Partnerships” Patty enjoys growing spiritually through the gift of family time and mentoring future Community Leaders. Patty is the mother of a one year-old son.
