Pier Entrance Project
A capital improvement program intended to restore the entrance to San Clemente Pier. The project involves landscape improvements, beach and Pier access improvements and eases a traffic choke point at the base of Pier where the SC Trolley, Metrolink, automobiles, bicycles and pedestrians converge to reach the Pier.
Budget
$1,500,000
Outcomes
Increased use of rail underpass for safer access to the Pier--benchmark data already collected. Goal is to increase visitor use by at least 20% in the summer season. Reduced traffic congestion in the Pier bowl allowing for easier access to the coast and the Pier
