Pro Bono Consulting for Environmental Nonprofits
Seed's flagship program marshals the skills and expertise of dedicated volunteers to provide pro bono consulting services to environmental nonprofits. This program is designed to strengthen the operational, strategic, and organizational capabilities of our partners, thereby enhancing their capacity to tackle critical environmental issues. Through a structured engagement model, our teams work closely with client organizations to deliver tailored solutions that address their unique challenges and opportunities. The estimated annual budget encompasses projected program management costs, including volunteer training and support, materials, and resources for consulting engagements, and evaluation and impact measurement activities. The budget is lean, optimized to ensure maximum resource allocation towards direct service delivery. As a primarily volunteer-driven organization, a significant portion of our budget is dedicated to providing professional development to ensure that our volunteers are equipped with the necessary tools and guidance to provide the highest quality of service to our nonprofit clients and to empower them to become more effective leaders in their careers and communities.
Since its inception, our consulting program has successfully completed over 265 consulting engagements, amounting to more than 100,000 hours and nearly $21 million in services donated. Our clients report a greater than 90% satisfaction rate based on their survey responses to how likely they are to request future work and to recommend us to other nonprofits. We've also provided personal and professional development to more than 1,000 volunteers, with 95% of volunteers reporting an increase in their technical, professional, and leadership skills, according to survey responses. Looking forward, over the next year, we aim to recruit 250 new volunteers and provide 40 projects to environmental nonprofits in need. This funding will also enable us to invest in full-time staff to improve our operations, unburden our volunteer leadership, and deepen our impact on our clients and volunteers. Further, it will allow us to invest in our low-bono projects, putting us on a path to financial independence.
