CEO/Executive Director Experience

Devon joined the Prentice team in the spring of 2014. She was raised just blocks away from The Prentice School and has been aware of the school and its mission since the early 1990′s. Devon concurrently earned a B.A. in Liberal Studies and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Loyola Marymount University in 2004. Devon also holds a Masters of Science in Special Education with a specialization in Mild to Moderate Disabilities and another specialization in Teacher Leadership. Devon spent the five years prior to Prentice as the Director of Education for Newport Academy, a program specializing in the treatment of at-risk adolescents. She is experienced in working closely with vulnerable students and families and is deeply sensitive to their needs, fears and concerns. Devon is sincerely invested in the social, emotional and physical well-being of the students and families with whom she interacts. As Head of School for The Prentice School, Devon is excited and grateful to be part of such a reputable organization with a mission statement she firmly believes.
