Highschool and undergraduate pathways are designed to help students explore life science careers, provide hands-on laboratory education and to empower students through laboratory skills certification, industry mentorship, internship, apprenticeship and fellowship opportunities that lead to well-paid biotech and medtech careers in the Orange County and surrounding region.
Needs Statement
ULP is deeply committed to making STEM careers accessible to everyone. Educational and workforce development initiatives are geared toward nurturing local Orange County STEM talent, including students in underserved communities who may have previously considered such skills and experience unattainable.
Give: The cost for one student to attain a digital certification in lab skills through UCI Department of Education is approximately $5,000. Scholarships and funding, provided by generous partners, can help more students with financial need obtain these skills and credentials needed for career advancement.
