Charna Lopez

CEO/Executive Director Experience

Charna Lopez currently serves as the Director of the Integrated Arts Conservatory at the Orange County School of the Arts where she has been on staff since 2006. She was born and raised in Southern California and attended Chapman University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and received her BFA in Film and TV, Broadcast Journalism. She went on to earn her Masters degree in Cross Cultural Education. Charna enjoys teaching, tap, musical theater dance, voice and broadcast journalism at OCSA and also directs/choreographs at various dance studios throughout OC. Most of her time and energy is focused on directing and choreographing youth theater. Charna has choreographed and directed over 50 productions. A few recent shows include; "Addams Family", "Side Show", "Chicago", “Legally Blonde”, “School of Rock”, “How to Succeed”, “Little Shop of Horrors”, “Barnum”, “Annie Get Your Gun”, “Once on this Island”, “Footloose”, “Thoroughly Modern Millie”, “Children of Eden" and “Honk!” Charna is also an award winning performing artist who has appeared all over Southern California at theaters such as Moonlight Amphitheater, Performance Riverside, Candlelight Pavilion, and Saddleback CLO. Among her favorite roles are the title role in Peter Pan, Rizzo in Grease, The Witch in Into The Woods, DeLee in Smokey Joes Café (Theater League Award, Patte nomination), The Waitress in Working, Joan in Dames at Sea, and Patsy in Crazy For You.  Charna enjoys all aspects of the theater world and truly enjoys sharing her passion with the next generation.
